Lions Park remains the primary location, with an estimated 5000-6000 in attendance throughout the event. From 11:00am – 3:00pm, participants enjoy a variety of interactive activities, horse & wagon rides, and entertainment in St. Albert’s busiest park. Spruce Grove Canada Day and Street Performers
Festival
8:00 am - 11:00 pm
Canada's Birthday Party is always a major event in Spruce Grove. To add to this year's event, we are also celebrating the 25th anniversary of Spruce Grove's incorporation as a city.
On Canada Day, lots of hungry people enjoy a $3 pancake breakfast, while numerous children and parents "strut their stuff" in our Canada Day People Parade.
We officially celebrate our country’s birthday at noon by singing O Canada, raising the flag and giving out free birthday cake, after which everyone will be amazed and awed by the professional Street Performers who entertain all afternoon. Kids and teens can play in the Re/Max KidZone. Face painters, rovers, balloon artists and food and novelty vendors will be on site all day.
The evening finishes off with Spruce Grove's Awards of Excellence ceremony, free concerts on the Canada Day main stage, and our famous Rona fireworks display.
